The last day in London was wonderful. Not too bad of weather, and I was able to find time to pack and still walk around the city one last time. Today was our 8 hour bus ride, quite funny because we got to pick up on the Scottish accent. So difficult to understand! We laughed the whole time they talked on the bus and when our bus driver came over the speaker we all just looked at each other, and were like 'what?!'. Oh goodness, so much to get used to in a new city.
Good news! We made it to Dalkeith Palace and I am staying here tonight. I'm hanging out with Katie, who's in Phi Mu as well, she's studying here at the Palace for the semester. And we all got to see Jenny! It's so nice to see people we know - like a little piece of home, we're all together again! The trip here was long and fun, so many laughing moments. We hopped on kinda a random bus to get to Dalkeith from Edinburgh, and with the help of a nice Scottish man behind us, we got off at the right stop and we hailed a taxi (luck of the draw that there was one around at night in a small town). He was so funny and took us right to the front steps!
Tomorrow it's back to Edinburgh to check into the Smart City Hotel with the rest of the group. Breakfast is included here, so we're getting up at 7:00 to go down there! Oh my, that's in about 5 hours!
This is the cutest little town, everyone is so much friendlier and inviting here. They are so used to have the Wisconsin in Scotland (WIS) students here all semester and rely on them for the business in a way. Katie is being so kind and letting me use her computer! It's so nice to see her, we both have our matching friendship bracelets still on that we made at the Phi Mu recruitment workshop. So nice to be on the move and discovering a new area. Can't wait!
Write more later... :)
